INSPIRATIONS

Whoever knows how to speak to trees, whoever knows how to listen to them, can learn the truth.

Hug a Tree

2014_apr_joe_main

April 25 is Arbor Day, a day to plant a new tree – or appreciate the trees we have already. Boy, do I love trees. I love evergreen trees and coniferous trees that keep their leaves all year long. I love deciduous trees that lose their leaves in the fall. Do you know the difference? Have a grownup show you which ones are which.

Touch the bark on the trees in your neighborhood. Some trees have smooth bark. Others have rough, thick bark. Lay a sheet of paper over a tree and color with the wide side of a crayon to make a bark print!
